Cooks measure ingredients, chop and slice vegetables, cut meat, and prepare other ingredients for cooking. They also assemble and combine ingredients, and cook food in various utensils or on grills.
Serving food
Cooks plate meals according to the executive chef's instructions, and may serve food and drinks to customers.
Maintaining the kitchen
Cooks clean and sanitize the kitchen and prep area after each meal, and at the end of their shift. They also ensure that food is stored at the correct temperature, and monitor stock levels.
